  • AboutBen Garney is a programmer. Currently, Ben is the Flash Architect at PushButton Labs and the maintainer for the PushButton Engine. While at PBL, he has worked on Grunts: Skirmish (unreleased), Social City (published by Playdom), and an unannounced project. In May of 2010, approximately 60 million player experiences were powered by PushButton Engine. During his five years at GarageGames (2003-2008), he worked as the Torque Technologies Director on C++ game technology (TGE, TGB, TGEA, TNL) and a few games (Zap, Marble Blast Ultra). The forums took up a lot of his time as well. In fact, he still ranks as one of the most prolific posters with almost ten thousand posts. He also worked on internal development resources like build infrastructure, bug trackers, and wikis. Ben likes to write and use his camera, and to his surprise, he has had both his writing and photography published. He also enjoys giving talks on technical subjects. Ben used to be a nationally ranked sabre fencer. He plays piano to amuse himself, and is learning how to ride motorcycles.
